The Hopkins brothers each had a drugstore, one at 2322 Pacific the other at 957 S. Tacoma Ave. They both loved baseball. From 1910 til 1912 they sponsored a ball club complete with mortar and pestle silhouette jerseys, quilted pants and a joyful attitude. They were the boys of summer this July day in 1911. Hiram Hopkins is standing in the back row center with brother Albert, arms crossed, just to his right. Look at how perfectly they are all looking into the camera. Makes you feel like a pitcher.
