Certain encounters can only happen to people who live by the sea. As Halloween arrives its appropriate for us seaport dwellers to consider the dark side of the sea and the safe harbor protections that come from a lighthouse. This year’s truly terrifying radio story comes from the French writer George C. Toudouze written in 1937 and produced for the air in 1949 by the program Escape. The program played on KMO in Tacoma during the fall of 1950 with Vincent Price staring.
